The purpose of the “Who Are You” meditation is to constantly seek for a deeper meaning of self, no matter what you see and feel, you continue to discount that as the reason and you ask to be shown who you are. For example: You say to yourself “Who are you?”, and your mind says “I am a father”, you then say to yourself “that is your role in the family” that’s not who you are and then you ask again “who are you?”. The mind then says “I’m a Doctor”, but you say to yourself “that is not who I am that is something I do” and you repeat “who are you?”.
This continues over and over no matter what you come up with. In doing this the ego personality is forced to give up its interpretation of who it thinks you are and opens the door for the Divine to reveal to you who you truly are. It has nothing to do with energy or energetic manifestations, it is a complete spiritual experience that requires you to do battle with the acquired personality in order to get it to let go of its hold on your perceptions and intuitive nature, so that you can realize your “True Self”.
You keep the mind on search mode, attaching to nothing, constantly seeking to find the truth of who you are. The answer is not determined by the mind through analyzation of what the mind sees or feels, but by the spirit and it’s intuitive nature that is in tune with the soul which is directly connected to the Divine. By quieting the mind and the self you are able to access the “Still point” which separates time and space giving you access to higher perceptions, truths, and understandings which reveal your “True Self”. You will know when it is revealed to you because it is unmistakable and undeniable.
Understand that this is a very high practice of awakening and is not confined to just energetic shifts and manifestations but is a life changing spiritual transformation process.
